About the Role
As Creative Director, you will build, manage, and mentor creative teams that serve various marketing verticals, ensuring operational efficiency and creative excellence. You will establish and run an internal agency-style creative hub that initially serves our departments and brands, with potential expansion to external clients in the future. This role combines strategic leadership with practical execution, requiring someone who can envision the big picture and get things done.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Build and manage cross-functional creative teams across design, content, and video production.
- Develop and implement training programs and growth paths for creative team members.
- Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous learning.
- Create and maintain SOPs and playbooks for creative processes across all channels.
- Structure and scale an internal agency-style operation that efficiently serves multiple stakeholders.
Strategic Direction
- Oversee creative strategy and aid in execution across multiple marketing channels including PPC, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
- Align creative initiatives with business objectives and brand guidelines.
- Drive innovation in creative approaches while maintaining consistency across channels.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure creative solutions meet business needs.
- Develop service delivery frameworks for both internal and potential future external clients.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and optimize workflows between creative teams and other departments.
- Implement and maintain project management systems for creative deliverables.
- Create and monitor KPIs for creative team performance.
- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Design and implement agency-style processes for project intake, execution, and delivery.
Hands-on Leadership
- Provide hands-on creative direction for key projects and campaigns.
- Review and approve creative deliverables across all channels.
- Guide the development of brand identity and visual language.
- Mentor team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in creative leadership, preferably within e-commerce or digital marketing.
- Proven track record of building and managing creative teams.
- Strong strategic vision with an ability to execute hands-on.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Clickup, Asana) and design software.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
