About the Role
We are seeking an E-commerce Data Scientist to join WebLife Labs, focusing on leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning to optimize customer engagement, improve operations, and drive business growth. As part of the BI Team, you will collaborate across departments to deliver impactful insights and implement innovative solutions that enhance decision-making and deliver measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Model Development & Analytics
- Design and implement predictive models to forecast customer behavior and identify market trends.
- Build recommendation systems to optimize product suggestions and enhance customer engagement.
Data Integration & Management
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time analytics and model deployment.
- Integrate internal systems and third-party data sources to enrich customer insights and improve segmentation efforts.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to create data-driven personalization strategies.
- Translate complex analytics into actionable insights to support campaign targeting and operational decisions.
Optimization & Reporting
- Automate reporting systems to monitor model performance and business impact.
- Analyze datasets to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and enhanced user experiences.
Requirements, Experience, and Skills
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in applied data science, preferably within e-commerce or digital retail environments.
- Proven track record in developing predictive models and deploying them at scale.
- Experience implementing recommendation systems and conducting A/B testing to drive business decisions.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Python and its data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Data Expertise
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time analytics.
- Knowledge of e-commerce KPIs and an understanding of customer behavior patterns.
- Experience with data visualization tools for presenting results effectively.
Marketing Knowledge
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager) and CRM systems.
