Job Summary
The FP&A Associate at WebLife will support financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive strategic decision-making. The role involves working closely with senior leadership, business partners, and cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights that optimize financial performance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.
- Prepare financial models to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and strategic projects.
Reporting and Business Insights
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards, management reports, and executive presentations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by providing variance analysis and performance reports.
- Assist in preparing board-level and investor presentations with key financial insights.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor expenses, optimize budgets, and improve cost efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making in areas such as pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Participate in financial meetings and communicate financial results effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
Financial Modeling and Data Analytics
- Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions, scenario planning, and risk assessment.
- Utilize data analytics tools to extract, clean, and analyze large financial datasets for deeper business insights.
- Support automation and enhancement of financial reporting and planning processes.
Strategic Initiatives and Ad Hoc Projects
- Support senior management in special projects, such as M&A analysis, fundraising, and financial due diligence.
- Assist in market research, competitor benchmarking, and industry trend analysis to inform strategic direction.
- Work with FP&A leadership to improve financial processes and implement best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA/ACMA/CGMA is a plus).
- Experience: 1-3 years in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance (e-commerce or technology industry experience preferred). Preferably with tech companies in US/Australia.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling, pivot tables, macros preferred)
- Experience with financial planning tools is a plus
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau is a plus)
