As part of our growth strategy, we are hiring a skilled Tax Planner with expertise in US federal income tax to join our team and ensure compliance, efficiency, and strategic planning in our tax operations.

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Planner specializing in US federal income tax. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax compliance, planning, and reporting. Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not required. This role will involve working closely with our finance team to optimize tax strategies, ensure accurate filings, and provide insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of US federal income tax compliance and planning for WebLife and its portfolio of businesses.
  • Prepare and review federal tax returns, ensuring compliance with US tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to integrate tax considerations into financial planning and reporting.
  • Stay updated on changes in US federal tax laws and regulations to ensure timely compliance.
  • Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for tax strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with state-level tax compliance and planning as needed, with a focus on California (if applicable).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US federal income tax planning and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of US federal tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with California state income tax is a plus but not mandatory.
