We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team and elevate our video production efforts.

Role Overview:

As a Video Editor, you will play a vital role in transforming raw footage into captivating, professional-grade video content tailored primarily for YouTube. You will work collaboratively with the Video Team to ensure all video projects align with WebLife’s brand standards and achieve our marketing objectives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creative vision, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Video Editing
    • Edit and assemble raw footage into cohesive videos that tell a compelling story.
    • Add transitions, sound design, color grading, and other elements to enhance video quality.
    • Ensure content is optimized for YouTube, including aspect ratios, durations, and platform-specific requirements.
  2. Content Integration:
    • Incorporate stock footage, voiceovers, b-roll, and graphics into video projects.
    • Collaborate with Pre-Production Specialists to align edits with approved storyboards and creative briefs.
    • Work with the Video Production Specialist to integrate motion graphics and animations.
  3. Collaboration and Feedback:
    • Partner with the Social & Video Ads Team to align video outputs with campaign objectives.
    • Revise edits based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
    • Maintain open communication with team members to stay aligned on project goals.
  4. Asset Management:
    • Organize and maintain a structured library of raw footage, project files, and completed assets.
    • Leverage reusable templates and efficient workflows to streamline editing processes.
  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Perform thorough quality checks to ensure all videos meet technical and creative standards.
    • Ensure audio-visual synchronization and eliminate any errors or inconsistencies.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Familiarity with motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong storytelling and creative skills, with an eye for pacing and detail.
  • Knowledge of YouTube best practices, including optimizing for audience engagement metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle constructive feedback.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in video editing, preferably for YouTube or digital platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality video content in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Portfolio or samples of previous video editing work (required).
